Introduction
The Live2D Official Creators Forum (hereinafter referred to as “this forum”) is operated by Live2D Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) and serves as a message board for creators to communicate with one another and for the Company to gather feedback, opinions, and requests regarding its products.
By using this forum, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms of Use. Please be sure to review this information before using the service.
Pease be sure to also read the forum guidelines after logging in.
Using the Forum
All services on this forum are provided free of charge. In addition, users can view topics without registering for an account.
To participate in the discussion, you must register an account on this forum. There is no charge for registering this account.
However, users shall be responsible for providing their own Internet connection and web browser at their own risk and expense when using this forum, and shall bear any communication charges or other Internet connection costs incurred in connection with the use of this forum.
Posting Content
The copyright to content posted by users on this forum (including, but not limited to, posts, images, Videos, audio data, text, and other Files) (hereinafter referred to as “Posted Content”) belongs to the users.
However, upon completing a post to this forum, the user shall grant the Company the following rights with respect to the posted content:
- Administration of this forum
- Translation for multilingual support (including submission to translation services and display of translation results)
- Use as feedback to help develop and improve products and services
- Use for the purpose of promoting our products (including sublicensing to third parties)
- Reproduction, public transmission, translation, adaptation, and other uses of posted content
Furthermore, users shall not exercise any copyrights or moral rights (including the right of attribution, the right of publication, and the right of integrity) with respect to posted content against the Company or any third party that has been sublicensed by the Company.
Translation of Posts
To facilitate translation, your post will be sent to the translation service provided by Civilized Discourse Construction Kit, Inc.
The security of posted content and the handling of personal information are governed by our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Policy of Civilized Discourse Construction Kit, Inc.
The Company shall not be liable for any disputes, damages, or other issues arising between users or between users and third parties as a result of mistranslations, inaccurate expressions, or unintended interpretations contained in the translation results.
Furthermore, in the event of any discrepancies, contradictions, or differences between the translated text and the original post, the original post shall be deemed the authentic version and shall take precedence.
Forum Usage by Minors
If you are a minor (under 18 years of age), you must obtain the consent of a legal guardian or other legal representative before using this forum.
If it is determined that a minor is using this forum without the consent of a legal representative, the Company reserves the right to take necessary measures, including suspending or deleting the account or removing posted content, without prior notice to the user in question.
Important Notes
We assume no responsibility whatsoever for any disputes arising between users or with third parties as a result of the use of this forum.
Furthermore, even if links to other websites are provided on this forum by the Company or by users, or if links to this forum are provided from third-party websites, we make no guarantees regarding the content, accuracy, security, usefulness, or any other aspect of the linked sites.
Prohibited Actions
The following content is prohibited on this forum.
- Posting content that does not align with the category or topic
- Posting content that strays from topics related to our products and does not contribute to the purpose of the forum
- Posting a string of meaningless characters or spaces
- Posting the same content multiple times
- Criminal acts or acts related thereto
- Use of language that is contrary to public order and morals
- Expressions that constitute racial, ethnic, religious, or gender discrimination; defamatory remarks; or obscene content
- Commercial promotion or advertising, solicitation, political activities, religious activities, or similar activities
- Stalking
- Posting personal information or information that can identify an individual
- Antisocial and immoral conduct
- Impersonating a third party
- Any conduct that is detrimental to the Company, this forum, or our products
- Any conduct that interferes with or disrupts the operation of this forum, its administrators, or third parties
- Posting content intended to denounce or criticize our employees or specific individuals
- Any act that infringes upon the property rights, intellectual property rights (including copyrights, trademark rights, and all other intellectual property rights), reputation, goodwill, privacy, or other rights of the Company, other users, or any other third party
- The buying and selling of the Company’s products or licenses between individuals
- Any conduct that disrupts or is likely to disrupt the operation of this forum
- Prohibited Activities as specified in the Terms of Use for the Company’s Products
- Any other conduct that the Company deems inappropriate
If we discover any conduct that falls under the above, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, to edit or delete posted content, suspend or terminate an account, or take any other necessary measures. Furthermore, the Company shall have no obligation to disclose or explain to users the reasons for implementing such measures, the standards for such decisions, or any other related information.
Account Deletion and Removal
Account Deletion
Users may delete the accounts they have registered.
However, for accounts that have already made two or more posts, the user cannot delete the account themselves; if the user wishes to have the account deleted, they must submit a request to the Company via the designated thread.
In addition, the Company reserves the right to delete any account for which no login activity or other evidence of use has been detected for a certain period of time after account creation, without prior notice.
Deletion of Personal Information
When the Company deletes or cancels an account in accordance with these Terms of Use, it will promptly delete or de-identify all personal information associated with that account (including the registered email address, password, and other personally identifiable information).
De-identification and Retention of Posted Content
As a general rule, content posted by users on this forum will remain on the forum even after their accounts are deleted.
However, to ensure that users cannot be identified from the posted content, the poster’s username will be anonymized or replaced with a neutral label such as “Deleted Account.”
Any license granted to the Company by a user for posted content prior to account deletion shall remain in effect permanently even after the account is deleted, and the Company shall be entitled to continue using such content for product feedback and operational purposes.
Handling of Remaining Posts
If there are any posts that a user does not wish to remain visible on this forum after deleting their account, the user shall delete such posts themselves before proceeding with the deletion process.
Posts that remain on the forum because the user did not delete them may continue to be displayed on this forum even after the account is deleted, in a form that does not directly identify the user. Please note that the Company shall have no obligation to edit, delete, or hide such remaining posted content at the user’s request.
Service Interruption and Termination
This forum may be temporarily suspended or terminated, in whole or in part, without prior notice due to system maintenance, server failures, natural disasters, or other unavoidable circumstances.
As a general rule, the Company shall not be liable for any damages (including data loss) incurred by users as a result of the aforementioned interruptions, suspensions, or future termination of the service.
Other
Japanese law shall govern the formation, validity, performance, and interpretation of these Terms.
In the event of any dispute arising between the Company and a user in connection with these Terms or the use of this forum, the courts of Japan shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance, regardless of the amount in dispute.
